Our Pasteurized Cashew Meal are prepared using small pieces of cashews that are smaller than 1.7mm in size. Cashew meal is often referred to as coarse cashew flour, since cashew meal pieces are larger than that of cashew flour. This product is pasteurized, which means it has been subjected to a Log5 pasteurization method. Olam can provide a pasteurization certificate at the request of the customer. This product is the F1 variety, which denotes it to be of the highest quality. Cashew meal can be processed in one of two ways:
- By sieving: Where the small pieces are collected over time and sized to <1.7mm
- By grinding: Large cashew pieces are ground finely into cashew meal.
